He is erecting one of the finest and handsomest churches in the State and the Annua* Conference will make a mistake if it does not accept Lancaster's hearty invitation to meet here next year. Columbia, Nov. 12.?Adjutant Oencral Hoyd is in receipt of an opinion by the war department of interest especially to young men intending to enlist for the encampments next summer. A recent order of the department, it will be remem >ored, requires that every man to be eligible for muster for pay at the encampments must have had the necessary training and must be enlisted six months prior to encampment unless they have had previous service or been trained in a military school.
