"I was looking for a good job because I had left my job as a sheet metal worker at a local mobile home manufacturing plant." "I've found everybody is fair to me and I have no complaints about my job." continued Mason. "Everybody's honest with me and we all work together and get along fine," he added. Gilstrap, a spinning lubricator, came to Lydia following discharge from the Army. "For a while I farmed and later worked in Renfrew Bleachery in Greenville," he added. ??T I 1 1 i was oorn anil rearen in Easley," continued Gilstrap," but my wife's people moved to Clinton, so I decided to do the same thing. The Street, he says, was named for his grandparents. A few years later, she was transferred to the Cloth Room where she is presently employed. Myrtie, like over 400 of her fellow active and retired employees, has completed a quarter century of continuous service to the company. When she's not at her job, n mjr i nc cujujrs raiding nuw ers especially house plants. A resident of 110 Locust Street, she attends Bellview Baptist Church. EDNA HEATON Edna Heaton Retires Edna Heaton retired from Plant No. 1 Spinning July 30. 1977. She had been with the company since March 28. 1950. Grady Selected ' Kicky Grady, son of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Grady has been chosen from the Tri City Babe Kuth Team, as the Babe Ruth Baseball Athlete of the Year for 1977.
