Thanksgiving has gone and the delicious dinners are just a memorv. Mr. and Mrs. Elbert McCall visited relatives and friends in Greenville and Pickens recently. Pvt. Earl Mottes escorted Miss Joanne Lynch to the dance at Limestone College. Mr. and Mrs. Luke Boyette spent Sunday in Spartanburg with friends. Mrs. Pearl Lawson. Sam's mother, is lots better. Sam Lawson said he is expecting lots of presents Christmas. His mailine ad dress is 900 N. Sloan Street. Speaking of Christmas presents?Thanks to the company for our week's vacation with pay. Mr. and Mrs. Luther Carson of Charleston announce the birth of a daughter, Virginia Kim. October 31st. Mrs. Carson is the former Virginia Staines. Mrs. Lois Bovette, Laura and Joe McCall, Jr. Lambert, Frank Whiteford, Mrs. Dorothy Lawson, Rita and Rave Shelton and Mrs. Sara Shelton have all had flu. Seems as if it were just last week that we gathered news for last month, and here it is almost Christmas. Hope all of you had a real nice Thanksgiving and didn't forget what the dav reallv meant. Everyday really should be a day of Thanksgiving for all the blessings we enjoy and just take for granted. Sure, we work hard, but we can be thankful we're able to work. And isn't our Christmas vacation with pay really wonderful? We want to say "thanks" right here to the management for arranging that and also to say "Merry Christmas" to each and everyone who had a part in deciding on it. G. Galloways, has been transferred from 1 Korea, where he spent 18 months, to Japan. His wife, y Mrs. Galloway, left the first c of November to join him 1 there where he will be sta- 1 tioned for 28 months. Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Joe i Galloway have recently gone i to Georgetown. Minn., where Bobby Joe will attend college 1 for 4 years, studying business 1 management. < Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Galloway had their Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday before Thanksgiving and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kelly and children of Charleston were here to enjoy it with them. Pvt. George Tucker spent < a few days leave at home be- < fore going to Fort Dix. N. J., < November 30. From there he will go to Europe to serve with the armed forces. Mrs. Missouri Wilkie, Mrs. Fave Medlin. Mrs. Ola Meadors and Mrs. Louise Martin attended the Jimmv Dean Show in Charlotte November 17. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Wooten spent the weekend in Charlotte with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Campbell and attended the Jimmy Dean Show. Mrs. J. T. Babb and children of Inman, visited her sister. Mrs. Alice Kuykendall. recently. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Ellison and children of Orlando. Fla.. spent Thanksgiving with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Barker. WEAVING NO. 2 2nd Shift By Inez Blackwell Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We all have our ups and downs but we have so much to be thankful for compared to a lot of other people and other countries. We should all be proud and thankful that we live and work in a community where, if we need a friend and helping hand, we'll always find one nearby. We are glad to welcome Bobby Quinn to the 3rd shift. Fred McCarson's children have had the flu but all are better now. We are glad to have Steve Tucker back at work. Merle Owens is a patient at Blalock Clinic. We wish her a sneedv recoverv. Vivian Kuvkendall has returned to work after a bad case of the mumps. Her little bov also had them. Glad to see her back. Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Peace will celebrate their 2nd Wedding anniversary December 23. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Trammell will celebrate their 28th anniversary December 30. We are glad to welcome Ralph Holder back to work. Ralph was discharged from the Army October 28 We also welcome Gladys Ginn and Donnie Gene Cogs dill to the 3rd shift.
