Mr. and Mrs. Donald Boozer and little son "Butch" of Hartsville spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Ray Boozer. Mr. and Mrs. John Robbins of Valley Falls visited Mrs. Ada Prince and daughters the past weekend. /fK y ? 1 L Lfc Peggy Carnes is the attractive daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Furman Carnes of Lydia Mills. She recently celebrated her 16th birthday. Mrs. W. S. Manning and Miss Elizabeth Manning of Iva visited their daughter and sister. Mrs. E. C. Burdette. The Clarence Dunaways recently visited Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Donald in Spartanburg. Mrs. Furman Bratcher and Mrs. Sam Owens spent the weekend in Greenwood with Mrs. Bratcher's mother, Mrs. G. W. Culbertson. Billy Fuller is spending the weekend with the Bratchers. The Nabors reunion was held Sunday at the home of George Nabors at Kirksey. Mr. Nabors is the brother of Mrs. Joe Corlev. Robert Corley of Greenwood spent the week with Rickey Corley. Pfc. Douglas D e Y o u n g spent a 12 day leave with his mother and grandmother. Mrs. Sara Jenkins and Mrs. J. If. Crowe. Pfc. DeYoung is stationed at La Plata, Maryland. Carrie Gallman eelebrated a birthday the 25th of July. Diane and Kathy Davenport are spending the week in Inman with Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Boyce. Mr. and Mrs. Butch McLendon and children and Mable Tucker spent Sunday in the Smokies, visiting Cherokee and other points of interest. Nabors Your reporter went to Spartanburg Saturday, July 27, to get a look at a grand niece that had arrived about a week before. Pretty little bundle of happiness. I went to see Mr. Josh Motte Wednesday, who has been sick, and I am glad he was very much better. He is the father of Maggie Grogan, warp spinner. Two birthdays will be celebrated in the family of Mrs. Ethel Pennington this month, her son. Perry, on August 30 and her husband, August 27. We are glad that Essie Reynolds of Spinning ~2 is able to be back at work after a week of sickness. Harry Wicker has been transferred to Spinning -2. Paul Patterson, filling doffer. cut his foot very badv and at this writing is still off the job because of it. Horace Collins has been out sick a few days and we hope he is better bv now. Luke Cothran is all smiles now. He is grandpa again. His daughter, Cleo Sexton, gave birth to a babv girl. Well may the Lord bless you all until we meet again next month.
