Public Health Service r officials and the American Medical Association have s warned of a possible epi,* demic of Asiatic flu in the United States this coming fall and winter. The Public Health Service e is concerned about public in1 difference and plans an allout educational campaign to urge everyone to get the shots as soon as the vaccine t is available. I As of August 1 health officials estimated that Asiatic f flu has struck 11,000 persons in this country. Meanwhile, commercial manufacturers are producing 1 vaccine against this particular strain of flue. They exf pect to have eight million i doses by mid-September and 1 60 million by February 1, ? enough to protect one-third of the population.
