Evans Lever and Mrs. Aline Lanford and Mrs. Cleveland Campbell spent part of their vacation week in Hays Hospital. Evans and Aline were able to return to work on Monday, but "Shorty" didn't make it until Thursday. We wish them good health from here on. Mrs. Lois Hardman, daughter of Mrs. Alice Kuykendall, underwent surgery at Laurens Hospital July 2. We wish her a speedy recovery. Jimmy Kinard has returned home after an extended visit with his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. James Arnold, in Hemingway. Hal Lowder returned with him for a visit. Baker and the latter's sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Robinson, of Anderson, spent a few days at Carolina Beach in Wilmington, N. C. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Lee Smith and children spent the 4th at Lake Greenwood. Virgil Dickerson of Long Beach, Calif., spent a weekend recently with his sister, Mrs. W. E. Mr. and Mrs. Bardy Cannon visited at Myrtle Beach for three days during the holidays.
