The Gradv Turners vacationed at Myrtle Beach and Miami, Fla. Clinton Gambrell visited friends in Pennsylvania. William Siegler of Edgefield. S. C., visited his sister, Sudie Putnam. Edna Terry and family spent several days with Mrs. U. G. Jackson in Columbia. Donald Powers spent a weekend at home. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alan Powers, and Mrs. Quinton carried him back to the Naval Base in Jacksonville, Fla. Mr. James Harris and family vacationed at Myrtle Beach. Ohio, visited her brother, Bernard Teague, and his family. Mr. and Mrs. Colev Campbell and Dianne Wilson spent their vacation in Davtona, Fla. Mr. Glen Shifferlv, from Ohio, visited the Homer Lawsons. Homer Lawson. Sam Lawson and Glen Shifferlv visited at Fort Bragg, N. C. (Homer said Sam ate chicken and he had to pay for it.) Mr. and Mrs. Elfred Harrill nnH Mr nnrl Mrc T .nrrv Masters vacationed at Myrtle Beach. Mr. Harrill and Mr. Masters went deep sea fishing and had a wonderful time. (Dick said he sure did see a lot of water.) The J. A. McNinchs and the Dorsev Turners vacationed in the mountains of North Carolina. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Shelton and girls and Vernon Tucker snont their vacation at Dav tona Beach and Silver Springs, Fla., and Charleston. S. C. Mr. and Mrs. Luke Bovette and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lawson and bovs toured through the mountains of N. C. during the 4th. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Whiteford spent the week of the 1th at home. Sam Lawson said Gene Somebody, from Ohio, spent the week of the 4th with him. Guvnita Lanford will be with us for six weeks while Lily Mae Motes is in the hospital for an operation. We miss loom fixer Joe Spillers and hope he enjoys working in No. 3 Weave Room. Welcome to Edgar Ballew, the new loom fixer. Mr. and Mrs. E. C. McCall visited Neola's sister, Mrs. Charlie Sexton, in Pickens, S. C., and enjoyed a picnic dinner in the North Carolina mountains. Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Ballew spent the 4th in Trvon, N. C. Mrs. Paul Messer. your reporter's sister is in the Spartanburg General Hospital. Warren Calvert will celebrate his birthday July 31. He said he was over 20 and under 60. Dorothy Luwson celebrated her birthday July 14. Ronnie Cheek, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Cheek, celebrated his 6th birthdav June 25. Rav McCall. son of Mr. and Mrs/ E. C. McCall had a birthday July 6. Here we are hack at work, but reallv thankful that THE CLOTHMAKER we're able to be back, when we read the death toll of the holidays. Braswell, Jr., and children spent a few days with us and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Wooten and children of Duncan stayed one night and day with us. Mrs. Estelle Roland, Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Mason attended the double wedding of their nieces. Misses Marv and Annie Smith, of Savannah. Ga., June 9 in Scotia. Ga. Hey ward Tumlin attended the auto races in Fountain Inn July 4. Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Webb. Mrs. Ralph Stewart, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Pierce and Mrs. Andy Hames attended the all night singing in Spartanburg, July 6. Some of our good folks really got around during that week off. Mr. and Mrs. Thornton Meadors visited Silver Springs, Daytona Beach and Orlando, Fla. After returning home Mrs. Thornton Meadors, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Ward and children, Mrs. William Cannon and Mrs. Willie Mae Riley visited in Black Mountain one day. Another day Mr. and Mrs. Thornton Meadors and Mrs. Ted Ward and daughter visited Lake Lure. Mr. and Mrs. John Hughes spent a few days in WashingA r\ r* ion, u. ^. Mrs. Missouri Wilkie visited her son, R. C. Wilkie, DK2, in Bainbridge, Md. While there she and R. C. visited Baltimore and Washington. D. C. Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Barker and children visited Chimney Rock one day during vacation. Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Suttle and Mildred visited Mrs. Suttle's sister, Mrs. Davis, in Danville, Va. C. Mr. and Mrs. Junior Sipv and son visited in the mountains ahove Brevard. N. C. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Gibbs and son and Billy Norris spent vacation week in Gatlinburg, Tenn. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas James spent a few days in Myrtle Beach. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Owens and Mr. and Mrs. Truman Owens spent vacation week at Davtona Beach. Sam said Rocky (his dog) spent the week with Dr. Adams and Stinky (the cat) stayed with Pat's relatives. Seems as if Raymond McCoy did nothing but fish during vacation. He said he and his brother, Cecil McCoy, (and party) caught over a hundred Bream at Lake Greenwood on one trip. Then he and Leo Riser and son, Richard, fished at SanteeCooper one day and night and caught about 60 Catfish. He didn't say what they did with all those fish. Loval Kuykendall and son of Greensboro, N. C., spent vacation week with Mrs. Alice Kuykendall. Furman Adams, Mrs. Ruby Ivester and Mrs. Mildred Wilkerson visited in Toccoa. Ga. Mrs. Robert Adams and sons. Joe and Furman, visited in Aiken during vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Gholdie Simmons and Dixie visited in Barnwell and Charleston during vacation week. M Sgt. and Mrs. James Meadors and daughter will arrive this week for an extended visit with Sgt. Meador's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Meadors, and other relatives. Charles Huev, Donald Galloway and Franklin Alexander visited Table Rock. N. C., and Myrtle Beach during the 4th. Mr. and Mrs. Glidv Holmes and family visited Mr. Holmes' sister. Mrs. Earl Hill, in Columbus. Ga. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Alexander and family spent several davs at Tybee Beach. Savannah. Ga. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Butler, Jr. and family motored to the Cherokee Indian Reservation in N. C. during their vacation. Mrs. Jack Wilson and daughter visited Mrs. Wilson's mother, Mrs. G. R. Smith, in Washington. D. C. Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Handback spent a recent week-end in Atlanta. Ga. Marvin Holtzclaw spent the week in Birmingham. Ala., with friends. 3 Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Riser visited their son and daughterin-law, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Riser, in Montgomery, Ala. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Riser returned home with them for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. F. F. We wish them every success. Mr. and Mrs. Bootsie Allman and sons and Mr. Allman's father, D. U. Allman, spent a few days in Charleston and Folly Beach. Susie Black, granddaughter of the A. G. Galloways, is spending the summer with her grandparents. Mr. A. G. Galloway, Susie, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Galloway visited Tech. Sgt. and Mrs. Charles Kelly in Charleston and Isle of Palms. Patricia Kelly returned home with them for a few days visit. The A. G. Galloways, Susie, Patricia and Donald Galloway and Mrs. Carl Espieg spent one day at Lake Greenwood barbecuing chicken, pork and weiners. (They could have invited some of us who were spending the week down there.) % tihc. ' Sgt. Thomas A. Tullis. son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lewis, Clinton Mills. recently graduated from lineman school at Camp Gordon, Ga. He is spending a twelve day furlough with his parents. Chief Boatswain L. E. Wood spent 12 days recently with his mother, Mrs. Ora Wood. He was given a surprise birthday supper June 17 at Lake Greenwood. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wood and son, Mr. and Mrs. Dcssie Wilkes, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Hollin and J. D. Williams. While at home L. E. and Mrs. Ora Wood visited his children in Coco, Fla., and Silver Springs. Jerry Wilkie, with five of his friends, visited Daytona Beach during vacation.
