Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hampton and Darrvl spent the week at Davtona Beach, Fla., and also visited friends in Davenport, Fla. Mr. and Mrs. John Gallman and Teresa, with Mrs. J. L. Riley of Rock Hill, also spent the week at Davtona Beach. The Jimmy Mayes report a wonderful v a ca t i o n in Washington, D. C., and Jamestown, Va. They were accompanied by the Misses Marv, Frances, and Annie Bell Tumblin of near Laurens. Mr. and Mrs. Butch McLendon and children and Mrs. M. L. Spoon vacationed in Winter Haven. Florida. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Bagwell and children spent their vacation in Silver Springs, Fla. Mr. and Mrs. F u r m a n Bratcher spent the week in Washington, D. C. They were also supper guests of Mr. Bratcher's mother in Ninety Six recently. Mrs. Annie Zogg Everett and daughter, Bonnie, visited in Jackson, Ga. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Corley and children spent several days at Myrtle Beach last week. The Ray Boozers visited the mountains of North Carolina last week. Guests of the Boozers recently were Mr. and Mrs. Donald Boozer and little son. Butch, of Hartsville. Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Burdettc spent a few days at Myrtle Beach last week. They also viisted relatives in Green TKic cmil inn littlo mice ic Teresa Gallman. 2 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Gallman. Mrs. Gallman is employed at Lydia Mills. Crow, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Holland of Allendale spent last week in Cherokee and Fontana, N. C., and also in Gatlinburg and Maryville, Tenn. They attended the Indian Drama, rP 1 TTM1- ft ? uniu i utfse rims, in v,nerokce and the Hillbilly Homecoming in Maryville. Miss Beverly Buzhardt accompanied Mr. and Mrs. J. B. O'Shields and Mickey to Blythville, Arkansas, and Holland, Missouri, for a visit with Airman and Mrs. Jimmy O'Shields. Mr. and Mrs. S. T. McAlister and children of Seneca visited the Tom McCarsons last week. Also guests of the McCarsons was Mrs. J. B. Jennings of Augusta, Ga. Mrs. Charles Shelby and children of Bay Side, Va., spent the weekend with her brother, Paul Kitchens and Mrs. Kitchens. Glad to report that Don Leopard is at home after a stay at the Veterans Hospital in Columbia. The J. T. Lanfords and Johnny vacationed at Myrtle Beach. Mr. and Mrs. Ira Bailey and children toured the "Smokies" and also visited Mrs. Bailey's mother in Alabama. A 1C John W. Coates, home from the Philippines, is spending a 30-day leave with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Coates. Mr. and Mrs. Scup Gallman spent their vacation at Daytona Beach. Fla. Our sympathy to Mrs. Gallman at the loss of her grandmother, Mrs. Nancy Staton, in Moore, S. C. The A. M. Shumates. Jr. and children with Mrs. Mattie Harvey spent a few days at Davtona Beach. Doyle Templeton spent the 4th with friends in Georgia. The Chess Kings spent a few days at Myrtle Beach during the 4th week. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Harris and Mr. and Mrs. Casey Abercrombie spent a few days in Florida. Jimmy Earl Gregory said he spent a few days in town the 4th. Sure did enjoy himself. The Billy Fennell family spent the 4th in Florida. Anyone interested in playing volleyball go to Roy Owens' store. Mike Campbell, the son of Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Campbell, was 6 years old July 4th. Charles F. Baker celebrated his birthday July 11. J. W. South celebrated a birthday June 26. Brenda Kav Satterfield was 6 years old July 15. Snider visited Mrs. Banks' daughter, Mrs. Rosco Griffin, in Macon, Ga. Mr. and Mrs. Jennings Cook and Robert vacationed in the Smoky Mountains and at Myrtle Beach. They also visited the Cherokee Indian Reservation. Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Cook and Debbv of Asheville, N. C., visited the Jennings Cooks. Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Estes and family visited Mrs. Estes' brother, Paul Romines, at Camp Lejeune, N. C. The Grace Godfrey family enjoyed a trip to Chattanooga, Tenn. They also visited Rock City and Ruby Falls, Tenn. Mr. and Mrs. Quinton Jones visited Mrs. Jones' parents in Kingsport, Tenn. James Dean and family went up in the mountains of Tenn. for their vacation and he said they had a nice time. Jennings Cook and his family visited his mother and sister up in Canton. N.
