The party was held in the beautifully decorated Community building. Misses Harriett Wilson and Saidra Mills directed several entertaining games carrying out the Christmas theme. I ' ' V ?>v y * Til * t mk" Miss Nell Virginia Canfield, of Clinton, became the bride of James Derrill Bozard, of Joanna, on Sunday afternoon. December 23, at four o'clock. The Reverend George F. Hopkins, pastor of the bride, performed the double ring ceremony at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Clinton before a large assemblage of relatives and friends. A program of wedding music was given by Mrs. Eva Land, organist, and Miss Dawn Campbell, soloist, both of Clinton. W. Wendell Hair, of Joanna, attended the groom as best man. Serving as ushers were Rufus Handback, brother-in-law of the bride, and Jimmy Braswell, cousin of the bride. Mrs. Ray W. Bragg, aunt of the bride from Joanna, attended the bride as matron of honor. The b r i d es m a i d s were Misses Velma and Pat Braswell, cousins of the bride, and Miss Polly Brazil. The bride was given in marriage by her uncle, C. L. Braswell, of Clinton. Braswell, is presently employed with the Clinton CotBirthday Feted Mrs. Lucile Woody, Clirton Mills, honored her daughter, Lurlene, with a party celebrating her 13th birthday. There were ten guests present. After games and contests were enjoyed Mrs. W o o d v. assisted bv her daughter. Melba, served refreshments. Each guest remembered Lurlene with a gift. Kindergarten Christmas The Lydia-Clinton Kindergarten enjoyed a Christmas party, T uesda y, December 18th. The party was held at the Lvdia - Clinton Kindergarten building. Bozard, of Joanna, and the mie ivir. tsozara, was graduated from Clinton High School and attended Presbyterian Junior College, Maxton, N. C., and Presbyterian College, Clinton. He is currently employed with Joanna Cotton Mills Company. Perfect Attendance Honor Roll The following Lydia employees were present and worked each day the plant operated during 1956. Superintendent D. H. Roberts said, "No doubt, each emolovee with Perfect At tendance made personal sacrifices to be on their jobs every day last year, and that he, the overseers, and supervisors sincerely appreciated their faithfulness and loyalty."
