2 tablespoons large whole
pecans
1 cup sifted cake flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
Va teaspoon salt
3 eggs, separated
1 cup granulated sugar
5 tablespoons pineapple juice
Melt butter in baking pan.
Spread brown sugar evenly

Holds Party
The Wahanka group of
Camp Fire girls enjoyed a
Christmas party Monday evening,
December 17th.
The party was held in the
beautifully decorated Community
building.
Misses Harriett Wilson and
Saidra Mills directed several
entertaining games carrying
out the Christmas theme.
Refreshments of ice cream,
with lighted candles on top
cookies, and drinks were
served bv Misses Janice Goss
and Florence Revis.

Miss Nell Virginia Canfield,
of Clinton, became the
bride of James Derrill Bozard,
of Joanna, on Sunday
afternoon. December 23, at
four o'clock.
The Reverend George F.
Hopkins, pastor of the bride,
performed the double ring
ceremony at the First Pentecostal
Holiness Church of
Clinton before a large assemblage
of relatives and friends.
A program of wedding
music was given by Mrs. Eva
Land, organist, and Miss
Dawn Campbell, soloist, both
of Clinton.
W. Wendell Hair, of Joanna,
attended the groom as
best man. Serving as ushers
were Rufus Handback, brother-in-law
of the bride, and
Jimmy Braswell, cousin of
the bride.
Mrs. Ray W. Bragg, aunt of
the bride from Joanna, attended
the bride as matron
of honor.

Misses Velma and Pat Braswell,
cousins of the bride, and
Miss Polly Brazil.
The bride was given in
marriage by her uncle, C. L.
