R. C. Wilkie now is acting as John Vassey's assistant leader. He is well experienced in scouting. The troop enjoyed a wiener roast November 19, each boy bringing his girl friend. The group was chaperoned by Mr. and Mrs. Vassey and Mr. Leatherwood. REV. DAVID E. MILLER is the new minister of the Bailev Memorial Southern Methodist Church. We welcome them to our community and he and his family are anxious to be of help to anyone at anytime. There are 30 Cubs regularly attending meetings now. Leaders attended a Pow Wow recently for training. All boys 8, 9 and 10 years old are urged to join now while the pack is registering for next year. Additional information may be obtained from Mr. Leatherwood or Mr. Dunaway. MILLARD LEE Poole is the new Cloth Room Overseer of Clinton Cotton Mills.
