DECEMBER 15. 1953 Two Families Of The Month Are Presented Due to space limitations in the November issue of The Clothmaker, we had to omit our regularly monthly feature of the Family of the Month so that this month we are honoring two families? The James Pattersons of Lydia and the Ben Woodward ianniv Irom Clinton. First we introduce you to the Pattersons. James Patterson has lived all of his 35 years at Lvdia where he has worked for 22 years. He is a Loom fixer and they live at 248 Elm Street. Mrs. Patterson, Rosa Bell Grant, is a Weaver on the First Shift where she has worked 19 years. The family belongs to Lydia Baptist Church. Their oldest child, Reba, 16. is a Campfire Girl and vicepresident of her Sunday School class. Peggy is a Campfire girl and is in the seventh grade at Providence. Linda is in the sixth grade. Roger is a third-grader and a Cub Scout. Jimmy is three. Callie, two years old and Dianne is six and in the first grade. The Ben Woodward. Sr., * family of Clinton Cotton ' Mills is our other Family-ofthe-month for December. Mr. Woodward, who is 65, is a well known member of the Clinton Community as are many of his children who are living here. Children of the Woodward family include Jeanette Woodward who works in Clinton Spinning. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Woodward, Jr. both are employed at Clinton, with D 1-: * i- ~ ^ ? ofii WUI1S.H1J4 in ine Lurain^ Department and his wife employed in Spinning. They have one child, Kathv, who is five years old. Then we have Mr. and Mrs. William Woodward who also both work at Clinton. He is employed in the Spinning Department and his wife is in Spooling. They have three children: Elaine, age five; Linda, three and Boyd who is one year old. Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Woodward live in Warrenville and they have two children. James Paul Woodward is in the Armv Medical Corns and - - J? is now stationed in Germany. Other children are Mrs. Faye Bradford, who lives in Columbia; Richard, 19 and Eugene, 17. Miss Elizabeth Woodward, sister of Mr. Ben Woodward, has taken care of the family for the past seven years. You may recall that she won first place for beautifying her yard a year ago and won honorable mention this past year in the clean-up, fix-up contest sponsored bv the Mills. Mr. Woodward's hobby is fishing. Clinton Mills, and was a year old October 16. a jjj CHARLES was seven October 0, the son of the Nathan Canons, Clinton Mill. He is in the econd grade. BOBBY JEAN is the daughter f Mr. and Mrs. George Waters f Clinton. Mr. and Mrs. Lawson work in Clinton Spooling.
