Five years ago: James Taylor and ex-wife Carly Simon reunit ed for their first concert in 16 years. The concert was held on Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame opened in Cleveland. And 92-year-old entertainer Bob Hope put on a show in Hawaii to mark the 50tfi anniversary of the end of World War II. Hope had been entertaining servicemen since 1941, the year the war began. One year ago: Talk-show host Jay Leno’s 1932 Dusenbeig road ster was rated best Dusenbeig at the Concours d’ Elegance, a show of fine classic automobiles in Pebble Beach, Calif.
