Although this action allowed Lisa to remain at school, a serious violation se of any more of the university's rules and regulations would result in suspension. Lisa was also placed on ^ disciplinary probation for one year, forgoing the suspension held in abeyance. In addition to these sanctions, she was asked to do 40 hours of community service and write a letter to d, freshmen that was published in the University 101 of textbook, "Transitions." In the letter, she described her experience and all she learned.
