Board, Lisa acknowledged her actions were wrong and
P admitted she had allowed the pressures of starting
1C1 college *o consume her.
er Taking all of tliis into consideration, the board held
rj_ Lisa's suspension in abeyance. Although this action
allowed Lisa to remain at school, a serious violation
se of any more of the university's rules and regulations
would result in suspension. Lisa was also placed on
^ disciplinary probation for one year, forgoing the suspension
held in abeyance.
In addition to these sanctions, she was asked to do
40 hours of community service and write a letter to
d, freshmen that was published in the University 101
of textbook, "Transitions." In the letter, she described
her experience and all she learned. The Judicial Board
if- hoped that because of their intervention, Lisa would
le benefit from the discussion with the board and from
u- the sanctions placed on her.
