Gamecock baseball stru USC drops By JIMMY DeBUTTS tl Assistant Sports Editor t\ The USC baseball team lost three blowout games to the Tennessee Volunteers over the weekend at u Sarge Frye Field. ? The Gamecocks (33-17, 9-9 SEC) lost Friday's game 15-0 and Saturday's contest 9-1. Scott Pace (8-3) was USC's starting pitcher Fri- ai day, giving up nine earned runs in five and a third innings on eight hits. Pace walked tour and struck out just one batter. Tennessee starting pitcher Chris Freeman (9-4) P pitched seven innings, giving up no runs.
