Dance cona original, cla By MELINDA WALDROP Staff Writer The USC Dance Company will present its annual fall dance concert Dec. 6-7 at the Drayton Hall Theatre. A number of dance styles and musical selections will be featured, ranging from standard ballet classics to modern original works by USC students and alumni. The concert includes selections from "Swan Lake" ana bpnng Waters, a fast-moving, action-filled work performed originally by members of the Bolshoi Ballet. Also featured are "Flower Festival," a romantic ballet and the balcony scene from "Romeo and Juliet." One of the more unusual pieces will be 'The Merry Widow" from the Franz Lehar Opera. Susan Anderson, director of the USC Dance Company, describes the rendition as "a stunning piece." It features 16 ballerinas in elaborate costumes dancing with feathered fans four feet tall.
