With X, the band continue their innovative, timeless style e> emplified on such earlier collet tions as The Swing, Shabooh Shi bah and Kick. When I first listened to X, didn't like it nearly as much s Kick. However, with further listei ings, this new album proved to t up to task with more cohesivenes than Kick. The musical background of X much more like earlier INXS m< terial, but not in a monotonou way. The band keeps their estal lished sound but makes it moi versatile. The music is both exci ing and aurally pleasing. ? The lyrics are typical INXS tof ics: love, love's trials and tribuh 3r tions and love's great moment: Lh This is not to say that this is an a ie bum of dull love songs, becaus INXS has covered every aspect c love and relationships in a fres manner. The first movie attributes the zombies to radiation n leakage of a satellite, but the se- t? quel just has them pop up like b dandelions. tl In the remake, the zombies pose li no real thre/.t. In the original mo- v vie, they had some intelligence li and, like piranhas, seemed to at- tl tack in groups. The way they stood guard of the farmhouse, attacking m anyone who ventured out, brought a real aspect of horror to the film. 111 In the remake, the zombies are ^ slow, weak and seem about as threatening as department store mannequins.
