When I first listened to X,

The musical background of X
much more like earlier INXS m<

versatile. The music is both exci

ITS FRIDAY, OCTOB
Movie Continued from
seen in Friday the 13th, directed h
the project. Also the budget was tl
much larger than the original's, f
and the sequel was in color. n
The plot is essentially the same. i'
Seven people are trapped in an 8
abandoned farm house surrounded
by zombies. A few of the living P
want to lock themselves into a eel- n
lar, but the others want to flee and b
drive to a safe place. h
Both the old and the new movie v
focus on the inner and outer con- n

plain how the mess begins in the n
first place. The first movie attributes
the zombies to radiation n
leakage of a satellite, but the se- t?
quel just has them pop up like b
dandelions. tl
In the remake, the zombies pose li
no real thre/.t. In the original mo- v
vie, they had some intelligence li
and, like piranhas, seemed to at- tl
tack in groups. The way they stood
guard of the farmhouse, attacking m
anyone who ventured out, brought
a real aspect of horror to the film. 111
In the remake, the zombies are ^
slow, weak and seem about as
threatening as department store
mannequins. It takes them over sc
half the movie just to get to the ^
^ farmhouse and, once they are h!
yf there, many of them can simply be s*
pushed over. b<

al acting was not great, but this
cting is so atrocious that it's hard
ot to root for the zombies.
The only positive aspect of this
lovie is its conclusion. The last

ecause they are not derived from

Alas, the conclusion cannot
