"Miss Mary" tries 10 show how M.iry's introduction into a wealthy family's lives alters both theii world and her initial leelings toward them. At the same time, it tries to show a deep relationship bet ween her and each of the children. The problem with the film is none of the relationships are developed lulls. and many of the characters and events are leit in the air. Ihe girls eventually admire Mary, but it is not clear why. Christie's character is too weak to convince viewers she has earned the icspect of jiirls who ran off six prior governesses. I'y rfcy C] wjv Jl V V I? I I ? . ?
