Saga to operate By Susan Muir Two new Saga operated facilities, Take Five in the Russell House, and The Country Store in Capstone will open this semester, director Carl Chandler said. Take Five will replace Union Station next to the Gamecock Snack Bar and will offer a wider variety of foods. "It's not a candy store any more," Chandler said. THE STAND is scheduled to open the first week of October. Chandler said because the decision to open it came late in July, Saga is waiting for the project development department io in me necessary reiiuvauun wui n into its schedule. Take Five will feature baked goods such as bagels, doughnuts, rolls, and later ham and cheese croissants, and the Harmony health snacks, which Winn Dixie and Kroger Sav-On carry. Nachos, soft drinks and popcorn will also be carried. Saga plans to provide personalized cakes for special occasions available by advanced ordering. THE HEALTH food line takes the place of Nature's Cove which was located between the Gamecock Snack Bar and the Golden Spur. Nature's Cove's inconspicuous location made it unprofitable, and Saga decided not to open it this year, Chandler said, adding the stand didn't take in more than $100 a day this past year.
