Carolina converted on 24 foul shots, nine more than Davidson. Twenty-nine times the Wildcats were whistled for personal fouls, a number which tied the Coliseum record for team fouls. The tip-off is at 8:10. The Gamecocks, coming off Saturday night's 71-54 loss to Marquette, will be looking to continue their home winning streak with their eighteenth consecutive victory. Over a year ago, Marquette was Carolina's last opponent to leave with a victory. Marquette took that close game 72-71. DePaul brings a small team to Columbia but they have made up for their lack of height with a fine ability to jump. The Blue Demons are also cooing off a loss. Friday night they went down in defeat to Manhattan 68-59. The DePaul team is led by Al Burks. The 6-2 forward is the team's leading scorer and rebounder. He was also last year's leading scorer, and has been the number one rebounder for the past two season. Burks' playing mate at forward is 6-5 Jim Marino.
