Two weeks later UNC defeated the Florida, Gators; a team which was undefeated at the time and picked in pre-season polls to win the SEC title. Coach Bill Dooley has had mild success since he took the coaching job two years ago '5-15 but the team and campus morale is still high. Pep rally Carolina's cheerleaders will be on the Russell House patio tonight at seven to lead the cheering in a "Beat UNC" pep rally. There is no blocking, no forward passes, and naturally no pads but this doesn't prevent the action from being fast and the tackling vicious. Their moves on the field are unique and often times dazzling This semesters team is fairly evenly divided between new prospects and old veterans. The veterans are teaching the new men the rules of the game and also trying them at various positions to see where they will be most helpful to the team. The wolfpack got into the win column last week with a 10-3 win over North Carolina following a 22-21 defeat by Wake Forest in the opener. Defensive back Gary Yount set up last week's score against UNC with a 33-yard punt return. QB Darrell Moody went over for the score. He now has scored all four of the Wolfpack touchdowns in the first two games. Middle guard George Smith turned in a staunch defensive job.
