The 44-columned building will provide seating for 12,214 for basketball games and 13,500 for convocations. This area will also be utilized for freshman orienta tion, graduation, student dances, concerts, and other such events. Two operational parking lots adjacent to the building will pro vide 175 spaces each. These lots will be used by faculty and per sons concerned with the mainte nance and operation of the col iseum. Under the new code infractions of academic rules will be dealt with in the college or school where the infraction occurred. Thus, were an Arts and Science major to be accused of an infraction in a business course, he would be tried before the coimittee in the College of Business Administra tion. Each school or college will have a Committee on Student Academic iesponsibilitys. Each Committee will consist of three faculty mem hers and tw%o student members. The faculty members will be elected by the faculty of the col lege or the school in the fall. The student members will be selected by students in their respective schools, probably during freshman elections next fall. Terms for faculty members will be three years and those for stu dents will Ibe one year. Each committee is to make ad ditional ruls concerning academilC infractions as it deems neeSsarv. Such questions as to whether a class would operate under the prctor system (or the honor sys temi would he left up to the re -pective colmllittA-es. According to the ne)(w code, ac cused students may question wit nesseVs against them -a privilege not extended in the former code. First offense penalties under this code may include one (of the following: warning - not e'ntered on permanent academic rcord; probation_vntered on permanent academic record; or, recoimnida tion to professor that 'F" be :warded in the course. Any student found guilty a sec ond time will be suspended from the U'niversity except in extra rdinary caseR. An.y, convictions by the com inittees may be appealed.
