Allison, who has been in the Infirmary for quite a while, has gone home to recuperate. Lester Lewis, class of 1918, was on the campus for a few days du1Hng the,.week. T. P. The foregoing song was sent to one of the faculty of the Uni versity'by James Allan Jr., a law graduate of 1918. It shows how close the alumni of Carolina are to the college, and with what interest they follow her fortunes. Y. M.. C. A. Meeting. Last Wednesday evening Mr. W. H. J. Kizer, of the Univer sity, gave a pleasing little talk to members, of the Y. M. C. A. upon "Christ and the Modern Soeial Impulse." He emphasized the greatness. of one who serves, contrasting the work of the good Samaritan with that of the rich young ruler. After the regular meeting sev eral calls' were presented for young men to assist in religious work in the city. A number of the students are already engaged in this kind of work, and report encouraging results. Mr. W. J. Scott was elected Y. M. C. A. editor of the Game cock. Heating Plant in Operation. The plant to furnish the cam pye with steam heat is now in operation. Connecting pipes have been put in the recitatiQn rooms in Davis College and in the new dormitory, Woodrow College. . This long hoped for heating plant has been operated successfully for several days. It is hoped that the next legislature .wl make an appropriation to extend the system to the other buildings on the campus. New Doniitory Nears Finish. Woodrow College, the new dormitory now being built be tween Rutledge College and Green St., is rapidly nearing completion, and will be ready for occupancy in a few days.. This is an up-to-date dormi tory in every respect. Each room has steam heat and a, pri vote lavoratory. In addition there are shower baths 'with hot and cold water in each tenement.
