The day was very i raw and inclement and only about (, thirty people gathered to hear the J lectures, but the handful that I braved the weather seemed to tind ? , I the talks very interesting and in- j1 rtructive, and stayed in their seats ie throughout the session. The institute was conducted by ^ Director Harper and four assistant i Profs. Morrison, Daggett, Newman and Garrison. A cordial invitation was extended to the people generally to visit the car which contains "as much as pos- j' sible of Clemson College." Th textile department, in charge of Prof C S Daggett, is also most interesting, especially to the ladies.
