Be it ordained, By the Inlendant and ^Vardeus of the Town of Camden, S. C , in Council Assembled. 1. That whenever any person liable to pay commutation tax in said Town under any ordinance thereof, shall possess no property against which executions may be hud sufficient to satisfy the same, and said tax shall remain unpaid, for the space of thirty days after the tax books shall have been closed. It shall be the duty of the Marshal to summon such person to work on the Streets and Bridges of the Town in satisfaction of the said tax at the rate of Seventy-five cents per ditfm until the said taxes have been paid and satisfied. 2.
