Shealy, who underwent a very tc-rious opera tion a week ago today, is aoing well. The operation was performed by Dr. LeGrand Guery, assisted by Dr. Bruce t Guignard and others. Miss E. C. j L'Artigue, one of the mo3t experienced trained nurses in the city, is constantly at the bedside of Mis. Shealy and is giving her every attention possible. It is sincerely hoped that Sirs. Shealy will soon be able to return to her home. TJnion Sunday School Pionie. There will be a union Sunday School picnic at Mr. Eli Corley's spring next Saturday, the loth. Hartley, near Summit, during Christmas, 1905. Mr. St'-cxman is now in jail here, awaiting the action of Supervisor Langford. He piefers to do time on the cijaingang instead of serving in the penin ntiary, it is said, and it is a question whether he can do this according to law.
