He has found great enthusiasm throughout the state foe the .program that is being prose cuted at the institution. Mrs. Jeff Bellamv, and co-workers at their places. _ Morning service's were omitted as the pastor was away to his other church. 7;30 marked- the beginning of our revival with a spiritual prayer service conducted by Miss Mary Spivey and Rev. J. Q. Livingston, i- _J3:30 the pastor presented Rev. G.' VV. Williams who opened our revival. He was at his best. His text was taken from Revelation fi:17. The congregation felt the wrath of God upon them, seeminglv. Many shouted as he pictured what the wrath of God would be like. Among those attending the missionary convention were: Mr Gracie McKing. Smith Dies Suddenly Ae we bo to press, news has just reached our office that Dr. J. B. Smith, popular pastor of _ Kin^ Chapel A. M. E. Church, Pendleton, S. CTX tiled suddenly7 Saturday, August H>, after preach ing a-great?so vm on Friday, night in a revival meeting near Abbeville. He died at the home of his daughter at Abbeville. * Dr: Smith was well known- in South Carolina, having taught school for many years and was one the contributors to the "Leader".
