revival. He was at his best. His
text was taken from Revelation
fi:17. The congregation felt the
wrath of God upon them, seeminglv.

what the wrath of God would be
like.

in a revival meeting near Abbeville.
He died at the home of his
daughter at Abbeville. * Dr:
Smith was well known- in
South Carolina, having taught
school for many years and was
one the contributors to the "Leader".
Full details of his death will
appear- later.?Funeral services
were hold WednesdaV. His many
friends throughout the state willregret
to know of his passing.

citizens, died Monday morning,
