President S. H. Higgins of Allen University 1 gave an inspiring and informative ? address on the history of the A M. E. church in* Charleston, mentioning such leaders as Morris Brown, Daniel Payne and Richard 2 Cain. He also gave the history of Allen University and highlights in the life of Richard Allen, the founder of the A. M. E. church . after whom A. U. was named Miss C.
