K. church?" was led by supt. S. L,
Jones of Ernanuej. After registration
of delegates and the collection

A large crowd gathered for the

with a song service. President S.
H. Higgins of Allen University
1 gave an inspiring and informative
? address on the history of the A
M. E. church in* Charleston,
mentioning such leaders as Morris
Brown, Daniel Payne and Richard
2 Cain. He also gave the history of
Allen University and highlights
in the life of Richard Allen, the
founder of the A. M. E. church
. after whom A. U. was named
Miss C. Brogdon led in singing

vorable impression Allen's graduates
had made over the United
States and gave some of the problems
and needs of that institution.

eussion on "What has the Sunday
