Ministerial Wives Alliance Entertained for Mrs. Lawrence The ministers' wives and theii guests assembled in the beautiful home <>.f n v. and Mrs. R. A. Thompson. The house was beautiiully decorated with a* variety 01 cut Hdwers ami ferns. ??? Mrs. Louise?Williams entertaineu with games. Mrs. Susie Thomp son won the word- game. Rev. and Mis. Lawrence tied for the second -ame. Much fun and disc. s.siun was created by the games. Mis. Susie Thompson told of Mrs. Lawrence faithfulness to the alliance" and presented her with a giit from the alliance. In her response she told the ladies how she enjoyed working with them and how much she will miss them. They served a delicious sweet course. Everyone*?expressed the nisei . es us having enjoyed this func tion. CAVALIERS SOCIAL CLUB The elub met Tuesday evening at Air. James Whitman. Mr. Don aid Reid conducted the devotional services. The presiding officer Mi Thomas Ruff conducted the business part of the meeting. The program consisted of a round table discussion on' summer parties which are to be given in the near future: At the conclusion of the meeting - tire members were invited in the dining room by the host where tabt was covered with a 1 acc-ObLath^knd green candle stifles-folding burning white tapers. Philip Ellis, the church was crowded and its a pity for such a large church to he torn down, but the beauty of it all is that Dr. Ellis will build a brick church of more modern design and it \yiil not cost the members! a penny. Dr. Ellis has things well in hand and Bishop Flipper will doubtless feel' proud of him when the new church is finished. Among those who we met were R. A. Scott.
