Echoes From The Federated Club In Chester The Marion- Birnie Wititiiteon Federated club its regular monthly meeting at the home of Dr. and Mrs. J. S. Allen, Tuesday 11th of May, 1937. After a brief worship period the club entered into its business discussion. Mrs. Adair, the treasurer reported that the annual quota had not only been met but exceeded visit to the Home and spoke in commendable terms of the work there. The club encourages high scholarship at Brainerd institute and Finley High school. A prize of $2.50 is given to the 7th grade pttpils who rank highest in these two schools. At the conclusion of the busi jieas session, Mrs. Allen, the hostess presented an interesting pro gram. Mrs. Fannie Griffin' anc Mrs. E. Epps as host. The guests arrived between 8:00 and 9:00 p. m. Many hearts rejoiced as the man of God uelivered this sermon with power from on high. One yeung man joined the church. The delegate, Mr. Julius Prioleau who represented the church at our great district conference made a fine report of the conference. The Sunday school Supt. and teachers were at their post of duty 3:30 p. m. The lesson was reviewed by the paster. At 5 o'clock we went over tc Hopkin,' where the pastor preached the Annual Sermon for the Hopkin school. -Mrs. Flossie Wil son is teacher. Mr. B. M. Branch gives three months salary that gives seven months to thai school. *7 The pastor preached from the subject, "The Great Battle oi Life."
