The thinking Tayinen of our church, have more sense then to stand for. Mr, Bryant being put out. Think of it all the failure* and accused graders were put back in office, with no st<'ps taken, to make Sir. Bryant out a lie. We are no fools, we feel if it wasn't true they woub- sue Mr. Bryant for slander or something. The only accusiation I heard against Mr. Bryant was he published, the wrongs of the men i-n the quarterlies. I know w^at 1 an\ talking about, because I went ill through the conference, pleading to have Mr. Bryant endorsed j -ii.ce he was the only one that had j i i-cal success. I found most' of his opponent* to be preachers that wei" asked by some Bishops not i.. suppoort Mr. Bryant, and a .'ow office seeking laymen. A few j women that had never been to a teneral conference before. And the others I judged to be hand picked in-cxperenced laymen. We ft- 1 that since the Bishop Council. an . the membership of the* eoncrenee fail to force the two Mis{sior.:u/y departments together, wlu'it the General conference at t'U-veland, 1M2 voted it to be an I because the ladies of the two I branches failed to agree, and tlyot host not to, and still remain Sep.rate, with nothing said about it in- the la?t General, conference, i hat Mr. Bryant lias more right to i-e sustained because of that irregularity. Ar. * the young people at once presented Or. Spears with a purse and made some very encouraging remarks about theii pleasure in his leadership.: , Then an overwhelming applause! va- made for same. We want all to forget the differ- | vniies of the past, so far as holding them atrain-t each other, and join hands and go from here for 'be good of the whole. We all failed at the last General confer- ; oree to get anything in the way of of/Tice honors for the state. That is I know the men and their church politics. Several leaders haJ hold < t church tits, some times some w'tg mucking together and at length some beat the other getting dose to the bishop tits of the past.
