Roberts President) The following* representatives motored to the Pewilburwhitcade Vocational Camp for three days, training for S. S. workers. Aiflter arriving at the beautiful place Thursday morning, July 30 I the session opened at 10:00 o'clock by the president. After , singing, prayer was offered b> t' Supt. S. S.. Simmons. Then the in. structor, Rev. A. Neal spoke on ~ the subject, "What is our aim?" which was discussed by thegroup then the president asked that all "~S7 S. make a new year resolution to atteh^ S. S. every Sunday and pay 5c. "Y Afternoon we'reassembled. Rev Neal conducted the group on the subject "Time" which all agreed n the valuation of time will save <\ ' wasted hours, and make prompt attendance of organization. 8:30 a program was rendered _ by the young people, after the pro * gram we listened to4- a debating contest, subject, "Who is more important in the home with children, mother or father?" Debaters: Miss Annie L. Walker, Mr. N. Wei fare. Miss Kattie Kiett M J p, Frasier, Mr. I. S. Miller, Mr. Geo. V '' Freeman. Winner, '"Mother' is more important than a Father." Friday morning1 session opened by instructor, Rev. A. Neal. Discussion by Supts. and teachers, "What must be done to better the coming generation?*1 12:30 A. M. Lecture was given to the group by President Roberts "Valure of a Christian Education." 3:30 the ' group reassembled and the Supt. discussed "What must be done to have a real Sunday School," A/fter listening to a explanation, Rev. A. Neat, we gained j ^ a thought, that If every?Supt. t pastors, and teachers do theit duty toward the S.. Saturday morning after breakfast the group hiked to the swimming pool, a short distance from the Camp. t rA^ter few went in swimming, r under the supervision of Mr. George A. Freeman, the manager of the Camp, then the r group retired to the' camp and reassembled, after singing and praying -the?representatives-?expressed themselves- as to, their vacation and benefits derived stating of a pleasant stay and full of thoughts. . . Every sermon was very foreeably explained. Quite a large number " .itteiuld. We thank the. visiting churches for their cooperation. The Zion choir from near Fort Lawn sang last .Tuesday night and was enjoyed by all. Mr. Herbert Washington and his -choir from the Mt.
