at. L'ouisi?Many women actually
detract from their natural
> charm by using makeup incoriect<
ly.
Most of us have some features
which are attractive, and others.,
which are less desirable. When
tbuy are pjoperly used, beauty
'j aids like rouge, power and lipstick
should merely- accentuate our
jrood points and make the others
less conspicuous. But.the makeup
, should never be so noticeable "that
it calls attention to itself.
Iiouge, for example, should be
appaeu in such a nianner that it
.. is impossible to toll where it bei
gin's and ends on the cheek.
I In general, rouge should be worn
high on the lace, just under the
. eyes. This gives the whole face
a youthful akrt expression. If
I the rouge is applied lower, on the
1'leshy part of the cheek opposite
- -tire- mouth, the lace looks?older
\ and duller. ,|
| During the hot Summers days,
vyhen perspiration keeps our skin
moist, it is difficult to lind a
power, rouge 'which will remain
fresh and attractive all day long.
- l-'or?Uri*?reason, many women
prefer- a cream roughc, which, can
re blended into the skin,"so smoth-J
ly that even in the bright daylight
' it is not noticeable, and ' at the
_ >anie time it-?.remains?in place
longer. . \ I
Beginning on the cheekbone just
under'the center ol' the eye, draw'
a line of rouge outward and slightly
upward, lollowing the ridge of
ihe cheekbone, to a point sliuhtlv
oeyond the end of the eyebrows,
i-hen,. starting at the same point
under the eye, draw another shorter
line diagonally outward and
downward across the cheek, just
under the curve of the cheekbone..'
When t4ns has been doiity bk-nd?

I csmg a rotary, massaging motion,
go over the rough with the fingertips
or .pul'-f, -gradually filling in
the triangle between the two line*
and rubbing out the lines themselves.
Blend the color ^utwardr
in all directions so that it fade.-:

If the face is thin and narrow,
the rouge should, be exten led ?>ut-'
ward a little farther.and also applied
somewhat lower on the face.
The cheeks will have a fuller appearance
and the lace will seem
broader if the bottom edge of the
- rouge is about?even with?t-be?ti[
ol" the nose. It. sh uld nyvef be ex-j

This will give the ..whole
face a narrower appearance.
