FREE & ACCEPTED MASONS ' ' : * . ???| On Friday, April 9th the local or-* ders of the Free and Accepted Masons held their annual banquet in Chappelle's Administration on the campus of Allen University. Corinthian Lodge No. 11 and Capitol City Lodge No.4 47, united in one big effort to put over nnq pf the most elaborate pro-'. grams ever" presented by this OrderT^ There was plenty of interest shown, and judging from the success of the4 occasion, every local Mason?of?theabove named Lodges must have put, their Whole soul and budy into this1 celebration to bring it to such a sue.-' cessful climax. There were in atten-J dance. 260 real Masons This nnmher ; included some visitors from other j towns that cnme to help put this pro?-? ,,grom ovei. a n 1 Mr. J. S.Stanback, Most Excellent" High Priest, was present to deliver an address. He is not only known in this State as a Mason of high rank byt is known all over~the Country, being president, his remarks were in keeping with the developement and acted as an inspiration to all that were in attendance. _ The program was one of the best gotten up for an occasion of this kind J It was not very long but those that participated in it seemed to have giv en some time in preparing their res pective parts. ^ - * [ The Masonic Glee Club made its . *first appearance on this occasion. It is comp'osed ,of members of the Masonic Order and also members of the Eastern Staro. . j. Mr. J. B. Lewie, W. P. M., introduced the.'~Master of Ceremnnipa - Mf i _W. N. Roseboro, P. M. Thomas were ush-' ered into the ^ dining hall of the buil-J ding where the banquet "was in order.! The dining hall was beautifully de-! ?^orated, the emblem of the Lodge was in evidence. Crab apple blossoms and; roses constituted the flowers that de ' corated the tables. Candles so ar ranged on the tables represented, the ! ^ emblem of the Masonic Order. s The supper wa?-prepared by John j . ' Northrop, Thomas Morris, assisted by William Johnson of Benedict College.
