Tliivc hours riding front Stirling brought us to lliC borders of that sylvan lake of which the Scottish bard has given much illimitable descriptions. Having spent an hour in its calm, sunny wa- ! tera, our party landed and proceeded to Loch Lomond ; somo in carriages, while others preferred lo walk through the country which was once the abode of those - proud mountaineers, the Maegregors.
