I next went to mother Wilburn store, stoppinp there iwhile, meetinp Messrs. Wilburn and ilurphy. The Wilburns, I find, are as ilentiful as the Gaults on Pea Ridpe. I went to Mr. W. T. Mr. Jackson a few nonths apo lost a son, a soldier boy. tie died on the border and was sent tome dead, which is sad to him and lis wife as there is only Mr. Jackson in his wife at home and Mrs. Jackson is lyinp on her bed sick, unable ! ;o be up. Mr. Jackson is a stout man Tor his ape; he is 74 years old and is ible to farm. Says he always makes mouph corn to do him; has none to buy.
