Mr. Jackson a few nonths apo lost a son, a soldier boy. tie died on the border and was sent tome dead, which is sad to him and lis wife as there is only Mr. Jackson in his wife at home and Mrs. Jackson is lyinp on her bed sick, unable ! ;o be up. Mr. Jackson is a stout man Tor his ape; he is 74 years old and is ible to farm. Says he always makes mouph corn to do him; has none to buy. These people have my sympathy in the loss of their dear boy. I spent the nipht while in the Hedar Hill section with Mr. Ed Smith ind family. Mr. Smith is another iropressive farmer in that section, has >ld corn now in the crib, but we don't ind many with corn in the crib at this ime.
