Miss Louise Murphy has many friends in Union and throughout the State who will be pleased to hear that she is recovering from a recent serious illness and will soon be able to visit relatives in Union. Rev. L. L. Wagnon went t^Chester Tuesday afternoon and retuirod Wednesday, bringing his mother, Mrs. L. T. Wagnon, with him. Mrs. Wagnon has been in the hospital several weeks for treatment and has completely recovered. At a meeting of the Union chamber of commerce held Wednesday evening it was decided to inaugurate a movement amQng the merchants here to exchange goods for cotton. A meeting is to be held Thursday night, November 12, to fix the prpice at which the merchants would take cotton in exchange for goods. All members of the body are urged to attend.
