I do not know who will be the successful ones, but I sincerely trust the voters of Union county will considex qualifications. It looks to me that choosing men to fill the various offices from a standpoint of fitness is almost a thing of the past. We are drawing factional lines too strong for our own welfare. To say that a man shall not receive our support because he belongs to the other faction when he is the best man in the race is a wrong spirit and one that will cause us to have regrets in the future. In this township people are giving the political situation more thought than they are their souls. A man in this community declares that his rooster was walking along and fell dead of his own accord or because he could not live any longer. Mrs. I.ula Craig died last Friday morning and was buried Saturday at New Hope church at Cross Anchor. She leaves a husband and many friends to mourn her departure. She was the daughter of Marion Craig and had been married less than a year. Mr. J.
