The annual meeting of the association is to be held this year in Spartanburg on June 10 and 11. The programme is interesting and contains the names of snar.y of the leading newspaper men in the State. On Wednesday, June. 12, the press ass&rtion will start on a trip over the 1C., C. and O. railway from Spartanburg^ to Dante, Va. The trip wilt be an interesting one through the coal fields along the C., C. & O., and the road has offered special rates for all newspaper men who go. Blackwell of Buffalo spent Saturday and Sunday with friends and relatives in our community. Miss Nettie Vaughan spent Sunday afternoon with the Misses Vanderford. Messrs. W. D. and W. A. Mrs. Robert Vaughan has a curiosity in the egg line. She found a small egg in a large turkey egg that had gotten broken. It has a hard shell and is about half as large aa a guinea egg. Several of our people went to Union Monday to get registration tickets, but there was such a large crowd that they did not get any.
