Last week we copied an interview of Governor Evans in which the Governor stated that there would be no general extension of the time te pay taxes this yeur. That opinion has been confirmod by a letter from Comptroller Goneral Norton, just received bv the Treasurer of our County. It is supposed that copies were also sent to the Treasurers of other Counties. The letter reads jh follows: Treasurer Union County. Dear 3ir: The custom of extending the time for the collection of taxes without Penalty has prevailed to such an c:Jent t' t the public naturally cxpec.s the same for the taxes of.181)4 -9f>.
