Taylor attended the annual meeting of the State Dental association at Columbia last week. The meting is reported as the best! ever held by the association. Mrs. John J. Wilkins and Miss Man- Wilkins who have been the guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Wilkins the past ten days have returned to their home at Athens, Ga. Mr. and Mrs. M. F. Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Nesmith left Monday morning on an extended trip north. They expect to be away about four weeks and will visit some of the Canadian summer resorts and other places .of interest before returning here. The long dry spell was broken here Tuesday bv a light rain fall during the day, which developed into a downpour during the night, and continued pretty well through yesterday. It came in time to be of inestimable value to growing crops. The needle was a very small one and broke off in her foot, where it still remains. Mr. Boyle Singleton and his mother, Mrs. Chas. H. Singleton, left here Tuesday morning in their automobile on a trip to their old home in Kentucky. Xesmith one of Kingstree's enterprising and substantial citizens _has closed a contract with Mr. Chas. H. Singleton contractor for the erection of a two-story dwelling house on his lot adjoining the public school property and W. V. Strong. The building will be a combination frame and brick work, the outer walls being of pressed brick and when completed the structure will be one of the best and handsomest in this section of the State. Plans for the new home were preparde by Mr. Singleton, who has already placed orders for material to be used in its construction. We understand that work will be commenced at once on the building and that it is to be ready for occupancy by the last of the present year. Mr. Nesmith has recently sold, his present residence to Mr. W. H.
