Evangelist D P Montgomery, who conducted a successful revival at the Baptist church here in March,is now similarly engaged at Summerton, with gratifying results. Dr E T Kelley has gone to New York to spend a month or six weeks attending special lectures pertaining to his profession. During Dr Kelley's absence his practice will be taken care of by Dr T S Hemingway so far as may be agreeable to the wishes of the former s patients. Fire early Thursday morning destroyed the residence of A J Prosser at Johnsonville. The building was a nice residence and was completed only about two years ago. There was some insurance on the building and furniture. Mr Prosser's wife and infant child died a few weeks ago and Mr Prosser had been living in the house alone,but was not at home when the fire broke out. We have never seen a more attractive window in Kingstree than that of the Farmers' Supply Co. .Against a background of flags, cards proclaim the slogan: "Preparedness ?live at home."
