This l occasion occurs annually in May for i ? the pleasure of the Sunday-school children. In the H^Lirly morning quite a crowd gath- 1 HB^Ed at the church and soon after- ^ Hjj^Frd began the exercises of the c ^^hildren, directed by Miss Louise McGill, with Miss Sadie Snowden as 1 organist. Miss Louise possesses rare v and enviable tact and ability for di- r recting affairs of this nature to a marked success. With Miss Sadie a Snowden's obliging assistance in ren- t dering music for the exercises, she t trained the children to perform, sing and recite in such a manner that it \ is no idle compliment t< > say that the c programme was almost perfectly i carried out. f The little folk formed in line outside of the church and marched to j the rhythmic sound of soft music j down the aisles, then took their assigned seats with the precision of j ' trained soldiers. The girls were , ^ dressed in white with a beautiful c ^kbow of sky-blue ribbon, neatly arB anged in the soft tresses of their H^nair. of which they are so deservedly 1 W proud. May Pip- ' kin, Muriel Chandler, Davis McGill, v Eddie McCutchen. When the recitation of each one t was concluded the children and oth- j ers cheered the reciter loudly. Little "Faithful Fidget" was with the ^ children and encored with a lively ^ "bow-wow" at a fitting time. After the conclusion of the programme for the smaller folk, Miss VjLouise McGill and Mr Thomas Chan- P dler sang "Face to Face," a religJ * n ous duet. Misses Lottie McRoy, Maude Chan- ^ dler, Louise McGill and Mr Thomas ^ Chandler, with Miss Sadie Snowden at the organf rendered a quartette, "This I Know," which was much enjoyed by all. Prof Clinkscales was the orator of b the day. He spoke * for an hour and no one seemed to be weary. * Dinner was served at the conclusion of the address. In the afternoon a game of ball vas played between Benson and Seulan and it was a battle between he twirlers for a while.but the local ;eam outclassed the visitors and the .cores began to pile up for Benson. A'hen the local far.s got to rootng properly for the home team the >oys played with renewed energy intil the game closed with a score of .9 to 11 in favor of Benson.
