Williams, of the Carolina Savings Bank, Charleston, who is also a director ot the Bank of Kingstree, came up Saturday and attended a directors' meeting of the latter bank. This is Mr. Williams' first visit here since Ihe bank was established. Last Tuesday a lar<re number of visitors to the exposition, taking advantage of the cheap rate, nassed iiere on the morning train. There were eleven passenger coaches and the crowd ot passengers aboard was estimated at 500. Mr. G. D. Barr, of Greenville, a kinsman of CoJ. George S. Barr, is a guest ot I3arr's Hotel. Mr. Barr, who was raised at Indiantown in this county, left here at the age of IS years, and since that time lias resided in the up country. He has a number of relatives in Williamsburg who, of course, are delighted to welcome him back to his old home. The Atlantic Coast Line railroad. along with the other roads ot the state, has made a special rate to the exposition to apply on Tuesdays during the month of April.
