The vote proclaims in unmistakable tones the high esteem in which Rev Kooke is held. Besides making the unanimous call the church increased his salary. It is confidently hoped that he will remain with the church another year. Nov. 30, and was laid to rest at Bethesda Church Sunday afternoon. Mr. Graham was about <>0 years of age. His wife and three children, oneson, Samuel Graham, and two daughters, survive him. Another child died several years ago. He was a gallant soldier in the army of the Confederacy and in the nriny of his Lord. He went <?ff to the war in Col. Ho was the secretary and treasurer of the Kinggtree Lodge, Knights and Ladies of Honor, from its organisation to the day of his death. Ho served Williamsburg county as . . school commissioner. He shone brightest in his home, and church life. For years he was one of the moSt prominent and faithful members of Bethesda Methodist church.
